Farmville introduces the Clydesdale

You may have noticed that the newest animal available for purchase is the Clydesdale. Yes, the horse breed made famous by those Budweiser commercials can now call your farm its home. The Clydesdale is only available for purchase for the next 28 days, after that it will be presumably gone forever. It costs 12 Farmville Dollars. The Clydesdale takes 3 days to harvest, and when it’s down you get it’s brown Horse Hair which you can sell for 150 coins. Have you added the Clydesdale to your Farmv...

The developers of Farmville just got some splendid news from a Russian investment firm. The Digital Sky Technologies firm has agreed to invest $180,000,000 into the social gaming company. This news comes after Zynga announced that its social games are among the most popular on Facebook, with nearly one-third of the Facebook’s users playing their games monthly. Farmville Presents on 12/24/2009

For the past couple of weeks residents of Farmville have been receiving and giving gifts from Zynga. They are packages, usually of different colors and shapes and all of them say that we can’t open them until December 24, 2009 – on Christmas Eve. So what is the big deal about these gifts? What do you want Zynga to give you for Christmas this year? Are they a special decoration for your Farmville Farm, or perhaps a special seed you can only use once? I’m hoping its something that allows you g...

The “Real Farmville” is not as fun

One of the criticisms that Farmville has been hammered with recently is that its such a drain on time. One group thinks that people who enjoy Farmville should better spend their time by planting real seeds and creating their own at home gardens. The Animal Agriculture Alliance released a video that will help online farmers learn the importance of real farms. They say the video teaches the gamers that farmers and ranchers in real life provide a safe, affordable, and plentiful food supply. Did ...

Farmville Discussion: Are Poinsettias Worth it?

I have brought this up here on the blog before. The new flower seed that Zynga graced us this year during the holiday season is the Poinsettia. The seasonal flower costs 45 coins to plant (not including the 15 it costs to clear the land) and it takes nearly a day to harvest. The rewards are 3 XP gained per seed, and when harvest time comes you get 126 gold ones. Cheatpulse isn’t so sure that Poinsettia’s are worth it. In their analysis of all the seeds available they see that Poinsettia’s are...

What are the Farmville Lonely Bulls?

Many readers have noticed that a lonely bull has appeared in the popular Facebook Game Farmville. And just as you expect there might be some naughty behavior going on in the farm while you are away. Zynga posted this message on their forum: Lonely Bulls have made their way to FarmVille! However, these lonely bulls aren’t like any other adoptable animal you’ve seen so far. After adopting a Lonely Bull, he can be kept on your farm like a normal animal, or he can be placed in your Dairy Farm! ...

Farmville: The Social Game of 2009?

Numbers don’t lie! We’ve posted a couple of statistics that prove that Farmville is bigger than all of twitter, and numbers that declare Farmville the largest game inside of Facebook. Now one site has put down the gauntlet and has declared Farmville the Social Game of 2009. Inside Social Games says that Farmville currently has 72.9 million monthly active users, which roughly translates to nearly 20 percent of all of Facebook is harvesting right now! This is astounding when it comes to the gami...

Hey Farmville, You are getting Sued

The makers of the popular Facebook game Farmville, which currently has over 70 million users got served a class action lawsuit. The claim says that there are offers in the games that prompted a series of unauthorized charges or triggered enrollments in programs without the user’s knowledge. Zynga responded by removing such advertisements and claimed that they will never add them back in. If you hadn’t seen the ads before this is what they did. Some were setup like you completed specific offers...
